The Racetiger SL R WC FIS is the perfect ski for ambitious U18 athletes working towards taking part in the European Cup. The Tailored Carbon Tip offers a very precise, direct and reliable shovel response, which helps the athlete to take a shorter and narrower radius to the gate. The geometry also works in this direction and make it possible to ski a shorter way in front of the gate and thus a tighter and faster turn at every single gate. Two layers of full titanal, the world cup woodcore a mix of ash- and poplar wood and full sidewalls give the ski the necessary stability and dynamism to find the fastest line in the gates. The package is rounded off with a pre-mounted Marker World Cup Interface plate and our factory race tuning for an excellent power transmission and edge grip. Völkl recommends the Marker Comp 20 or Comp 16 binding to go with this model.

Worldcup Woodcore: In order to offer the best combination for optimal ski bending, we use a special mixture of 50% ash and 50% poplar wood for the Worldcup Woodcore. The ash acts like a restoring force, as the long fibers stretch when the ski initiates the turn and contract again when the end of the turn is reached. This makes the ski stronger and more stable on the slopes. Thanks to the poplar parts, an optimum balance of weight is reached.

Full Sidewall Phenol: The special surface structure in combination with the material composition reduces icing because it allows the snow to simply slide off. This leads to a drastic reduction in weight during use up to 20 - 30%. Thanks to the lighter skis, long and steep assents can be better managed.

3D Glass: Multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

Full Titanal: The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic. Especially friends of a hard, fast and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.

P-Tex 2510 Base: The P-Tex 2510 is extremely fast and exclusively used on WC race models.

Race Finish: For a better grip in fast and tight turns World Cup skis come with a special race finish edging. While the SL models feature 0.7° on the base and 87.6° on the side, the GS models come with a 0.8° base and 87.6° on the side.

Full Camber:  A smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and flex. Full Camber gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain. As soon as the ski is on edge, the skier gains uninterrupted edge contact. The more the ski is on edge, the more effective the edge becomes. The resulting smoothness and predictability are truly uncanny.

Marker WC 10mm Piston Plate: The World Cup Piston Control Interface (WC PCI) was developed in combination with the Marker Comp bindings to provide the perfect race platform.
