The Deacon premium model with 84 mm under the foot and a total weight of 1830 grams (at 177 length w/o binding) including the binding features Völkl's brand new Carbon Fibre Functional Placement. Never before has it been possible to distribute power to the tip and the tail in such a precise way. The carbon fibres are no longer integrated as a uniform fleece but added through a stitching process in such way that the fibre orientation and strength perfectly match the functional requirements of each ski section. As the most important areas of a slope ski are the tip and the tail, these are the areas with the highest concentration of carbon fibres offering a fantastic liveliness and dynamic with only minimal skier's effort. To increase the power transmission and shock absorption qualitie, the Deacon V.Werks comes with a 0.7mm thick Titanal frame surrounding the most stressed tip and tail areas. The integrated IPT Lowride binding system sets new standards regarding power transmission by shifting critical functions further into the ski body.

Carbon Fiber: In this construction carbon fibers are no longer incorporated as a uniform fleece. They are integrated through a stitching process in such a way that their orientation and strength meet the functional requirements of each part of the ski. As the tip and the tail are the most influential sections on a ski the carbon fibres are concentrated exactly in these areas. As a result the power transmission is extremely precise and liveliness and energy are accessible with minimal effort.

3D Glass: 3D.Glass is Völkl’s latest development to furthermore improve overall ski performance and stability even in critical snow conditions. Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the binding area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

3D.Ridge: Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim wings to significantly reduce weight and swing weight and keep the stability where necessary.

3D Hybris Multilayer Wood Core: A very dynamic woodcore with a combination of hard wood, poplar, beech and isocore in the center and an super light hard.

Titanal Frame:  A modified upper layer of Titanal so there is only metal underfoot and U-shaped forks in the tip and tail area with a full sheet of Titanal underneath the multi-layer wood core.

3 Radius Sidecut: Three radii in one ski for maximum turning & speed versatility in all mountain skiing.

XTD Tip & Tail Rocker: The ski has a variable edge length in the shovel and tail areas. The variable edge set between the shovel and tail makes the ski turn-happy. That in turn allows for a stiffer flex setup.

Full Sidewall: Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.

P-Tex 4504 Base: P-Tex 4504 is a sintered high-quality base with high molecular weight. It is characterized by its impressive durability.
