Paired with Fischer World Cup or Race Booster plates, the RC4 Z 18 FreeFlex X Race Service binding is designed for elite racers. With full metal toe and heel piece housings, these Race Service bindings provide both the weight and retention qualities that top-level racers need when competing on the world’s toughest courses. All X bindings, the Freeflex ST 18 X RD binding has a race-optimized release characteristic and a spindle adjustment to accommodate forward pressure in order to guarantee the most precise adjustment and the best performance. In order to withstand the heavy strains involved in racing, some parts are made of aluminum. This ensures maximum stability, durability and the best energy transfer.
The RC4 Z 18 X RD is a high-performance competition binding for excellent skiers including the latest safety and control enhancing technologies as well as Freeflex Pro's flex dynamics.
Stream Toe: New aerodynamic design for 15% less drag and more speed.
Aero Toe: Full Diagonal Toes feature 180 release action giving the skier maximum safety in backward twisting-fall situations. Race Diagonal Toes are tuned for racing purposes. Due to higher release force vertically than horizontally, it holds up to the high backward lean forces that occur in racing.
Race AFD: An intelligent Race AFD gliding element which moves together with the ski flex enabling constant contact between boot and binding in all flex situations.Improved ski control and direct power transmission without wobbling between boot and binding guarantee precise turns, powerful energy transfer and minimal response time resulting in even faster runs.

Race Pro Heel: This heel piece loses the diagonal release feature, but gains a more solid interface with the ski. The heads of the screws are much closer to the ski, reducing the amount of torque placed on them.
